Over the past week my access to network shares has been incredibly slow – viewing, uploading, and downloading – just awful. The fix that worked for me was to make and entry into the registry. Be careful now….
Go into Regedit.exe then navigate to
HK_Local_Machine System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanmanworkstation\Parameters
Add a DWORD and name it DirectoryCacheLifetime
The value should be 0
Reboot and your performance should be “normal”
